Lögregla
Lögregla is the Icelandic word for police. The Lögreglan, or the National Police, is responsible for maintaining law and order throughout Iceland. Its primary duties include preventing and investigating crime, enforcing traffic laws, and providing public safety services. The organization is headed by a National Commissioner of Police, who reports to the Ministry of Justice.
