Læstadius
Lars Levi Laestadius, also written Læstadius (1800–1861), was a Swedish Lutheran pastor and revivalist who founded the Laestadian movement, a pietistic revival within Lutheranism that originated in the Nordic north and spread to Finland, Sweden, Norway, and later North America. He is best known for his work among Sámi communities and rural Christians in the 1830s and 1840s, where his preaching emphasized personal conversion, repentance, and a distinctly lived faith.
