Läpivirtausmittarit, often referred to as flow meters, are instruments used to measure the volumetric or mass flow rate of a fluid. These fluids can be liquids or gases. They are essential components in a wide range of industrial processes, scientific research, and everyday applications for monitoring and controlling fluid movement.

Thermal mass flow meters measure the heat transfer from a heated element to the fluid, which is dependent on the mass flow rate.
