Läpivalaisulla

Läpivalaisulla is a Finnish term that translates to "radiography" or "X-ray examination" in English. It refers to a medical imaging technique that uses X-rays to create images of the inside of a body. This non-invasive procedure is widely used in healthcare to diagnose a variety of conditions and to monitor treatment progress.

The process of läpivalaisulla involves directing a beam of X-rays through the part of the body being examined. Different tissues absorb X-rays to varying degrees; for instance, bones absorb more X-rays than soft tissues, appearing lighter on the resulting image, while air absorbs very little, appearing darker. This differential absorption allows for the visualization of internal structures.
