Lunala

Lunala is a Legendary Pokémon introduced in Generation VII, appearing in Pokémon Sun and Moon. It is the evolutionary counterpart to Solgaleo and is known as the "Moon Pokémon". Lunala is a Psychic/Ghost-type Pokémon, a unique typing combination. Its appearance is that of a large, winged creature resembling a bat or a moth, with a dark, crescent-moon-shaped body and large, iridescent wings that are said to absorb light.

Lunala is associated with the night and the moon. According to the lore, it is said to descend from the sky when the sun sets and return when the sun rises. Its wings are described as being able to absorb light, and it is believed to fly through a different dimension. Lunala possesses a signature move called Moongeist Beam, which is a powerful special attack that ignores abilities that would reduce its damage. It also has access to abilities that complement its typing, such as Shadow Shield, which reduces damage taken when its HP is full.

In the games, Lunala is one of the two box art Legendaries for Pokémon Moon, and its evolved form, Cosmoem, evolves into Lunala when leveled up at night. It plays a significant role in the storyline of the Alola region, often linked to the mysterious Ultra Beasts and the guardian deities of the islands. Its serene and ethereal nature makes it a distinctive and memorable Legendary Pokémon.
