Luftwegsveränderungen refers to alterations within the respiratory tract, encompassing the nose, pharynx, larynx, trachea, bronchi, and lungs. These changes can manifest in various ways, affecting the structure, function, or patency of these airways.

Common causes of Luftwegsveränderungen include inflammation, such as that seen in bronchitis or pneumonia, where the lining of the airways becomes swollen and may produce excess mucus. Infections, both viral and bacterial, are frequent triggers for these inflammatory processes.
