Ltil

Ltil, short for "Learning Tools Interoperability", is a set of specifications that enable different learning management systems (LMS) to communicate and share data with each other. Developed by the IMS Global Learning Consortium, Ltil aims to facilitate the integration of educational tools and resources across various platforms, enhancing the interoperability and flexibility of online learning environments.

The Ltil framework consists of several specifications, including Basic LTI (Learning Tools Interoperability), Content Item LTI, and Deep Linking LTI. Basic LTI allows an LMS to launch external tools and activities, such as quizzes, simulations, or virtual labs, within its interface. Content Item LTI enables the sharing of content, such as documents or multimedia, between different LMS platforms. Deep Linking LTI allows for the integration of specific content or activities from one LMS into another, providing a more seamless and personalized learning experience.
