Loopsensors
Loopsensors, also known as inductive loop detectors or vehicle detection loops, are a common technology used for detecting the presence of vehicles. They are typically installed in roadways, parking lots, and other areas where vehicle traffic needs to be monitored. The basic principle of operation involves an electrical loop of wire embedded in or placed on the surface of the road. When current flows through this loop, it creates a magnetic field. As a vehicle, which is a metallic object, passes over the loop, it disturbs this magnetic field. This disturbance is detected by the sensor circuitry, which then signals the presence of a vehicle.
The detection can trigger various actions. In traffic management, loopsensors can be used to adjust traffic
