Lochplatte

Lochplatte is a German term used for perforated plates—flat sheets with regularly spaced holes that serve as a functional component in a variety of technical and architectural applications. The holes can be circular, square, or other shapes, and patterns may be linear, staggered, or more complex. By adjusting hole size, spacing, plate thickness, and material, designers control open area, strength, weight, and airflow or filtration characteristics.
