Litt

litt is a Norwegian adverb meaning "a little" or "somewhat." It is used to modify adjectives and verbs and conveys a small amount or degree. In everyday Norwegian, it is common in both Bokmål and Nynorsk. Examples include: "Jeg er litt trøtt" (I am a little tired), "Kan jeg få litt melk?" (Can I have a little milk?), and "Det var litt vanskelig" (That was somewhat difficult). The word is generally informal and smooths statements, making them less absolute.

In related Scandinavian languages, cognates exist with different spellings: Danish uses "lidt" and Swedish uses "lite,"

Litt can also appear as a surname or place name, separate from its adverbial use in Norwegian;
