Litergallon refers to a unit of measurement used primarily in the context of liquid volume, particularly in the United States, where it is sometimes employed in informal or niche discussions. The term is a blend of "liter" and "gallon," combining the metric unit of volume (the liter) with the imperial unit (the gallon). A litergallon is not an officially recognized or standardized unit but is occasionally used to describe the difference between the two systems.

In the metric system, one liter is equivalent to approximately 0.264172 gallons in the US customary system. Conversely, one US gallon is roughly 3.78541 liters. A litergallon, therefore, could theoretically represent a hybrid measurement—such as the difference between a liter and a gallon—or could be used humorously or metaphorically to highlight the disparity between the two systems. For example, someone might jokingly refer to a litergallon as the "gap" between a liter and a gallon, emphasizing how much one unit exceeds the other.
