Listels

A listel is a narrow, flat decorative band or molding used in architecture and interior design. It is typically wider than a fillet but narrower than a fascia or scotia. Listels can be found in various contexts, serving both functional and aesthetic purposes.

In classical architecture, listels are often incorporated into entablatures, particularly as part of the architrave. They can also be used to delineate different sections of a wall or to frame openings such as doorways and windows.
