Limnospondylidae
Limnospondylidae is an extinct family of temnospondyl amphibians. These creatures lived during the Carboniferous and Permian periods. They are known from fossil remains found primarily in North America. Limnospondylids are characterized by their relatively small size and broad, flattened skulls. Their diet is believed to have consisted of small invertebrates and possibly fish.
