Limbed
Limbed is an adjective used to describe an organism that possesses limbs. Limbs are generally understood to be appendages used for locomotion, manipulation, or other forms of interaction with the environment. The number of limbs an organism possesses is often a defining characteristic of its species. For example, bipeds have two limbs, quadrupedal animals have four, and insects typically have six. Some organisms may have more numerous limbs, such as arachnids with eight, or crustaceans with ten or more. The term can also be used more broadly to describe anything with projections or extensions, though its primary biological context refers to animal appendages. In a figurative sense, "limbed" can describe something that has parts or extensions that enable it to function or move.
