Liikennevero
Liikennevero is a Finnish term referring to a motor vehicle tax. It is an annual tax levied on registered motor vehicles in Finland. The purpose of the tax is to contribute to the state budget and to influence the environmental impact of vehicles. The amount of liikennevero is determined by several factors, including the vehicle's emission levels, engine size, and weight. Vehicles with lower emissions, particularly those that are more fuel-efficient or electric, typically incur lower taxes. Conversely, older vehicles with higher emissions or larger, heavier vehicles generally have a higher tax liability.
The collection of liikennevero is managed by the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency, Traficom. Vehicle owners
