Leveghatást
Leveghatást is a term used in certain linguistic contexts to describe the phenomenon of a sound or syllable being omitted or "left out" during rapid speech. This is a form of elision, where sounds that would typically be pronounced in careful articulation are weakened or disappear entirely to facilitate a smoother and quicker utterance. Leveghatást is not a standardized linguistic term found in all theories of phonology or phonetics but can be observed in the casual speech of many languages.
This omission often occurs in unstressed syllables or between specific consonant clusters. For instance, a vowel
