Leafnosed

Leafnosed refers to a group of bats belonging to the family Phyllostomidae. These bats are characterized by the prominent, leaf-like structure on their nose, which plays a crucial role in echolocation. This nasal leaf helps to focus and direct the ultrasonic sound waves that these bats emit to navigate and find prey in the dark.
