Lateksilevyjä

Lateksilevyjä, often translated as latex sheets or rubber sheets, are flexible materials made primarily from natural rubber latex. These sheets are produced by dipping a mold into a latex solution and then curing the resulting film. The thickness of the latex sheet can vary greatly depending on the manufacturing process and the number of dips.

Lateksilevyjä are known for their elasticity, durability, and resistance to water and certain chemicals. Their inherent properties make them suitable for a wide range of applications. Historically, they were used in the production of various consumer goods such as gloves, balloons, and elastic bands. In industrial settings, they serve as seals, gaskets, and protective coverings.

The manufacturing process involves several steps, including coagulation of the latex, leaching to remove impurities, and vulcanization, which improves the rubber's strength and elasticity. Due to the natural origins of the material, lateksilevyjä are generally biodegradable, although the rate of degradation depends on environmental conditions.
