Larchéologie is a speculative field that explores the potential for undiscovered archaeological sites to exist in extremely remote or unconventional locations, often bordering on science fiction. The term itself is a portmanteau of "larch," a type of coniferous tree, and "archéologie," the French word for archaeology.
