Laktatanhäufung
Laktatanhäufung, also known as lactic acidosis, refers to an excessive accumulation of lactate in the body. Lactate is a byproduct of anaerobic metabolism, a process that occurs when cells lack sufficient oxygen to produce energy aerobically. Under normal conditions, the liver efficiently converts lactate back into glucose. However, when lactate production exceeds the body's capacity to metabolize it, or when the liver's function is impaired, lactate levels can rise.
Several factors can contribute to Laktatanhäufung. Intense physical exertion is a common cause, as muscles demand
