Ladadika

Ladadika, or Λαδάδικα in Greek, is a historic neighborhood in central Thessaloniki, Greece. It is situated near the city’s port area and forms part of the central urban fabric. The name is associated with the district’s historic function as a market and storage zone for goods, particularly in the 19th and early 20th centuries.

Historically, Ladadika developed around a network of courtyards and warehouses used by merchants who traded commodities such as oils, wines, and other goods. The architectural character reflects a mix of neoclassical and Ottoman-era influences, with many buildings featuring arched doorways, vaulted interiors, and exposed brickwork.
