LSM1

LSM1 is a gene that encodes a protein involved in RNA metabolism. The protein it produces, also called LSM1, is a component of the LSM1-PAT1 complex, which plays a crucial role in the decapping of messenger RNAs (mRNAs). This decapping process is a key step in mRNA degradation, a fundamental cellular process that regulates gene expression.
