History: Founded by fishing clans in the early period of Valryn’s history, Lómar grew as a trading post due to its harbor and timber from inland forests. It belonged to the county of Northmarch and experienced periods of conflict before developing shipyards in later centuries.

Governance and population: Lómar is governed by a mayor and a town council elected by residents. It forms part of the Northshore district. The population ranges around 4,000–5,000, including fishers, merchants, sailors, and artisans; it hosts communities from nearby isles, contributing to multilingualism.

Economy: The economy centers on fishing, fish processing, shipbuilding and repairs, and river trade. A weekly market trades salt, dried fish, wool, and pottery; tourism is modest and focused on the harbor museum and coastal trails.
