Kütusetankis

Kütusetankis is the inessive form of the Estonian noun kütusetank, meaning “in the fuel tank” or “inside the fuel tank.” In technical writing, kütusetankis is used to describe the location or state of components and conditions related to fuel storage. More broadly, the term refers to the device that stores liquid fuel for a vehicle, machine, or facility and regulates its delivery to an engine or burner.

Fuel tanks are designed to store liquid fuels such as gasoline, diesel, biofuels, or aviation fuels. They may be metal, plastic, or composite, and are built to resist corrosion, contain vapors, and withstand impacts. Variants of fuel storage include portable containers for temporary use, stationary underground or above-ground tanks for fuel stations and industrial applications, and integral vehicle tanks integrated into the chassis.
