Kümnendväärtusteks, often translated as "decimal values" or "decimal representations," refers to a system of representing numbers using powers of ten. This is the most common numeral system used globally. In this system, each digit's position determines its value. For example, in the number 123, the '3' represents units (10^0), the '2' represents tens (10^1), and the '1' represents hundreds (10^2). The decimal point separates the integer part of a number from its fractional part. Digits to the right of the decimal point represent negative powers of ten, such as tenths (10^-1), hundredths (10^-2), and so on. This positional notation allows for the representation of both whole numbers and fractions with a finite or repeating sequence of digits.
