Külgsidust

Külgsidust refers to a concept in Estonian folklore and mythology, often translated as "sidekick" or "confidant" in a more modern context, but carrying a deeper spiritual and protective connotation. It is not a single, well-defined entity but rather a more generalized idea of a companion, guide, or guardian spirit that is closely associated with an individual throughout their life. This being is often understood to be invisible to ordinary sight and can offer assistance, advice, or protection.
