Kényszerhatalom

Kényszerhatalom is a Hungarian term that translates to "dictatorship of necessity" or "dictatorship driven by necessity". It is a concept that refers to a situation where a democratic government is forced to act in ways that limit individual freedoms and civil liberties due to extraordinary circumstances, such as a national emergency, war, or economic crisis.

The term is often associated with the authoritarian style of government that can emerge in times of crisis, where the government may use its powers to impose strict measures on its citizens, often without adequate checks and balances. This can include the suspension of certain rights, such as the right to free expression or assembly, or the use of emergency powers to bypass the normal legislative process.

Kényszerhatalom is often seen as a contradiction to the principles of democracy, which is built on the rule of law, individual freedoms, and the protection of human rights.
