Käärimisprotsessil

Käärimisprotsessil refers to the process of fermentation in Estonian. Fermentation is a metabolic process that produces chemical changes in organic substrates through the action of enzymes. In the context of food and beverages, it typically involves the conversion of carbohydrates into alcohol or acids by microorganisms like yeast or bacteria in the absence of oxygen. This process has been utilized by humans for millennia to preserve food, produce alcoholic drinks, and create desirable flavors and textures.

Different types of fermentation exist, each resulting in distinct products.
