Kvantitív

Kvantitív is a term used to describe something that relates to quantity. It focuses on measurable aspects and numerical data rather than qualitative characteristics. In many fields, including science, economics, and social research, quantitative methods are employed to collect and analyze data that can be expressed numerically. This approach aims to provide objective and statistically verifiable results.

Quantitative research often involves experiments, surveys with scaled responses, and the analysis of existing statistical data. The goal is to identify patterns, establish relationships, and make generalizations about populations based on samples. The emphasis is on numbers, measurements, and statistical analysis to understand phenomena. For instance, a study measuring the number of hours a student studies and their exam scores would be considered quantitative.

The opposite of quantitative is qualitative, which focuses on understanding the 'why' and 'how' through non-numerical data such as interviews, observations, and focus groups. While qualitative research explores depth and meaning, quantitative research seeks to measure and test. Both approaches are valuable and often complementary in providing a comprehensive understanding of a subject.
