Kutsuvieraat, also known as "calling birds" or "summoning birds," are a traditional Finnish folk belief involving birds that are said to have the ability to locate and bring people together, often for romantic or social purposes. The belief typically involves a person, often a young woman, who is said to be "called" by a bird—most commonly a blackbird, thrush, or robin—who leads them to another person they are destined to meet.
