Kurvyds

Kurvyds is a Lithuanian indie rock band formed in Vilnius in 2010. The group consists of three members: Mantas Šimkus (vocals, guitar), Mantas Šimkus (bass), and Mantas Šimkus (drums)—though the band is primarily led by the single artist Mantas Šimkus, who handles all instruments and vocals. The name "Kurvyds" is a playful Lithuanian wordplay, combining "kurvas" (meaning "curve" or "bend") with the suffix "-yds," which adds a whimsical, almost cartoonish tone.

Kurvyds gained recognition for their energetic live performances and eclectic blend of rock, punk, and electronic influences. Their music often features catchy melodies, humorous lyrics, and a DIY aesthetic, reflecting their self-produced and independent approach to music. The band’s early releases, such as their debut EP *Kurvyds* (2012) and the album *Kurvyds* (2014), showcased their ability to merge raw energy with polished production.

In 2016, Kurvyds released their third album, *Kurvyds 3*, which further solidified their reputation as one of Lithuania’s most dynamic and innovative bands.
