Kujutatavus

Kujutatavus, sometimes translated as figurability or constructibility, is a mathematical concept that relates to the ability to determine or construct a solution or object. In various mathematical fields, it signifies whether a specific problem or entity can be explicitly found or described through a defined process.

In algebra, kujutatavus might refer to whether the roots of a polynomial equation can be expressed using radicals, as explored in Galois theory. If roots can be found through a finite sequence of arithmetic operations and root extractions, they are considered algebraically kujutatav.

In geometry, kujutatavus often pertains to problems solvable with ruler and compass. For instance, the question of whether a given angle can be trisected or a circle squared using only these tools is a question of geometric kujutatavus.
