Kudungsígræðsla

Kudungsígræðsla refers to the surgical implantation of a graft of artificial skin or a cultured skin graft onto a wound. This procedure is primarily used for patients with severe burns, chronic wounds, or other extensive skin damage where natural healing is insufficient. The goal of kudungsígræðsla is to cover the wound bed, protect it from infection, and promote healing and regeneration of healthy tissue.
