Krótkotrway

Krótkotrway is a term that appears sporadically in Polish-language texts. It is not recognized by major dictionaries and lacks a standard definition. In most uses it is considered a misspelling of krótkotrwały, the adjective meaning short-term or temporary, or a nonce formation created in informal writing.

Although some sources have noted the form, there is no authoritative etymology. The spelling seems to blend the Polish root krótkotrwa- with an English-like suffix, which suggests playful usage or typographical error rather than a stable linguistic unit. Because of its rarity, it is rarely analyzed in linguistic resources.

Usage of krótkotrway is largely incidental. In online comments, memes, or fan fiction it may occur as a fictitious place, event, or product name, often without implying a real concept. In professional or formal Polish, the correct term for short duration remains krótkotrwały or krótkoterminowy.
