Kryptosysteemit

Kryptosysteemit, often referred to as cryptographic systems, are sets of rules and algorithms used to secure information through encryption and decryption. These systems are fundamental to modern digital security, protecting sensitive data from unauthorized access.

The core principle behind kryptosysteemit is the use of keys. In symmetric encryption, a single key is used for both encrypting and decrypting data. This key must be securely shared between the sender and receiver. Asymmetric encryption, on the other hand, employs a pair of keys: a public key for encryption and a private key for decryption. The public key can be freely distributed, while the private key must be kept secret.

The ongoing development of quantum computing poses a challenge to current kryptosysteemit, leading to research in post-quantum cryptography.
