Korrosionseinflüsse
Korrosionseinflüsse refers to the various factors that contribute to the degradation of materials through chemical or electrochemical reactions with their environment. These influences can be broadly categorized into environmental and material-specific aspects. Environmental factors include the presence of moisture, oxygen, temperature, and specific chemical agents such as acids, bases, salts, and pollutants. The humidity level plays a crucial role, as water is often a necessary medium for electrochemical corrosion processes. Dissolved salts, like chlorides and sulfates, can significantly accelerate corrosion by increasing the conductivity of the electrolyte. Atmospheric pollutants, such as sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides, can form corrosive acids when dissolved in moisture.
Material-specific factors also play a significant role. The inherent chemical composition and microstructure of a material
