Kontrolleriyksiköt, or control units, are essential components in many electronic systems. They are responsible for managing and directing the operations of other parts of a device or system. Think of a control unit as the brain of a machine, receiving input, processing it, and then sending out instructions to execute specific tasks.

In the context of computers, the control unit is a key part of the central processing unit (CPU). It fetches instructions from memory, decodes them, and then coordinates the actions of other components like the arithmetic logic unit (ALU) and registers. Regardless of their complexity, their fundamental role remains the same: to provide order and direction within a system, enabling it to function as intended.
