Agreements between undertakings that restrict competition, such as price-fixing cartels or market-sharing arrangements, are typically prohibited under konkurentsiõigusel. These practices can lead to higher prices, reduced choice, and lower quality for consumers. Similarly, companies that hold a dominant position in a market are restricted from abusing that power. This can involve practices like predatory pricing, exclusive dealing, or tying arrangements that prevent competitors from entering or operating in the market.

Mergers and acquisitions are also scrutinized under konkurentsiõigusel. Authorities assess whether a proposed merger would substantially lessen competition. If the risk is deemed significant, the merger may be blocked or require certain conditions to be met to mitigate the anti-competitive effects.
