Konföderációs

Konföderációs is a term derived from the German word "Konföderation," which translates to confederation in English. It refers to a type of political union where sovereign states delegate certain powers to a central government, but retain ultimate authority over their own affairs. In a confederation, the constituent states are the primary entities, and the central government's powers are limited and often require the consent of the member states. This structure differs from a federation, where sovereignty is divided between a central government and constituent states, or a unitary state, where power is concentrated in the central government. Historically, confederations have been formed for specific purposes, such as defense or economic cooperation, and have sometimes served as a precursor to more integrated political unions or dissolved due to the inherent weakness of the central authority. The relationship between the member states and the central governing body is typically defined by a treaty or covenant.
