Komplexing
Komplexing refers to the process where a central atom or ion, typically a metal, is surrounded by a group of molecules or ions called ligands. These ligands bond to the central atom through coordinate covalent bonds, where the ligand donates a pair of electrons to form the bond. The resulting structure is known as a coordination complex or simply a complex.
The properties of a complex are influenced by the nature of the central atom and the types
Complexes exhibit a wide range of chemical and physical properties, including color, magnetism, and catalytic activity.
