Komissiya

Komissiya is a term used in several languages, notably Russian, Ukrainian, Bulgarian, and other Slavic languages, to denote a formal body established to perform specified tasks, conduct investigations, or oversee functions. The word is cognate with the English “commission” and derives from the Latin missio via French and other intermediaries. In many languages, transliterations include komissiya, komisiya, or komisija.
