Komaki

Komaki is a city in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. It is located in the western part of the prefecture and forms part of the Nagoya metropolitan area. Historically part of Owari Province, Komaki has developed as a regional center for residents of western Aichi and surrounding communities.

The city functions as a local government entity with a mayor-council system. Its economy includes manufacturing, logistics, and light industry, along with commercial and service sectors that support both residents and nearby urban centers. Agriculture also remains present in fringe areas.

Transportation in Komaki centers on rail and road connections.
