Klamp

Klamp is a term used in several contexts to refer to a device that holds or secures objects temporarily. In many sources, klamp is simply a spelling variant of clamp, and the term may appear in regional texts, historical documents, or product branding. The function of a klamp is to apply pressure to two surfaces or to fix a workpiece against a fixture so that movement is prevented during processing, measurement, or assembly.

Ambiguity: The word "klamp" is not tied to a single standardized specification. In English-language technical literature, the conventional spelling "clamp" is predominant; "klamp" may reflect dialect, translation choices, or branding. In some languages, a related word such as "klem" or "kläm" is used for a clamp, and "klamp" may appear as a loanword.
