Kilovari

Kilovari is a unit of apparent power, a concept used in electrical engineering. It is a submultiple of the var, which is the standard unit for reactive power. The prefix "kilo" signifies a factor of one thousand, meaning one kilovari (kvar) is equal to one thousand vars. Apparent power is the product of the root-mean-square (RMS) voltage and RMS current in an AC electrical system. It represents the total power flowing in a circuit, including both real power (which performs work) and reactive power (which is exchanged between inductive and capacitive elements).

The kilovari is commonly used to measure the apparent power in larger electrical systems, such as those found in industrial facilities or power grids.
