Kiinteälyhennys, often translated as fixed installment or fixed payment, is a term used in finance and loan agreements. It refers to a payment structure where the amount of each installment remains the same throughout the entire loan term. This predictability allows borrowers to budget their finances more effectively, as they know exactly how much they need to pay each period.

In contrast to variable payment structures, where the installment amount can fluctuate based on factors like interest rate changes, kiinteälyhennys provides a stable and consistent repayment schedule. This is particularly common in mortgages, personal loans, and car financing. The fixed nature of the payment applies to both the principal and interest components of the loan, though the proportion of each within the installment will change over time.
