Kihalásként

Kihalásként is an adverbial form used in the Hungarian language, derived from the noun kihálás which denotes a loud, emphatic utterance such as a shout, yelling, or a cry. The suffix –ként turns it into an adverb, meaning "in the manner of a shout" or "as a shout." It is used to describe something performed with a strong, vocal, or emphatic quality, often to emphasize the intensity or to convey disbelief, anger, or excitement.

In everyday speech, kihalásként is frequently employed when describing reactions in social or collective contexts. For example: "A csapat kihalásként üdvözölte a megnyertes játékost." Here the team greeted the winner “in the manner of a shout.” The phrase can also describe the way an event unfolds: "A háború kihalásként kezdődött, miközben a kastélyok urkáltak." This illustrates that the war began with a shout-like noise or roar, setting the tone for the chaotic scene.
