Kieviten
Kieviten refers to the inhabitants or people associated with the city of Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. The term is a direct derivative of Kyiv, the historical and modern name of the city. Individuals born in Kyiv, those who reside there, or those who have a strong connection to the city are often referred to as Kieviten. This term is used in a similar fashion to how people from other cities might be called Parisians for Paris or Londoners for London. The identity of a Kieviten is closely linked to the cultural, historical, and social fabric of Kyiv itself. The city, one of the oldest in Eastern Europe, has a rich history and has been a significant center of Ukrainian culture, politics, and economics for centuries, influencing the collective identity of its residents. The term Kieviten, while not as commonly used in English as "Kyivans," serves to designate this specific group of people.
