Kidarites

The Kidarites were a confederation of peoples who emerged in Central Asia around the 4th century CE. Their origins are linked to the Hephthalites and the Xiongnu, nomadic groups who exerted significant influence in the region. The Kidarites are primarily known for their military activities and their interactions with the Sasanian Empire of Persia and the Gupta Empire of India.

The name "Kidarite" is derived from a leader named Kidara, who is believed to have united various tribes and led them in raids and migrations. They were skilled horsemen and archers, employing tactics typical of steppe nomadic warfare.
