Khaine

Khaine is a deity found in the lore of the Warhammer Fantasy setting, specifically associated with the Eldar, also known as the Aeldari. He is a god of war, murder, and bloodshed, a figure born from the violent passions and primal instincts of the Eldar during their ancient empire. Khaine is often depicted as a fearsome and bloodthirsty entity, embodying the destructive aspects of warfare and the pursuit of conflict.

The rise of Khaine is intrinsically linked to the fall of the Eldar civilization. As the Eldar became increasingly decadent and consumed by their own emotions, these feelings coalesced, giving birth to the Chaos Gods. Khaine, while not a Chaos God in the same vein as Khorne, shares many of his attributes as a god of war and violence. He is seen as a dark reflection of the Eldar's own capabilities for destruction.

Within Eldar society, Khaine is both feared and revered. Some Eldar factions, particularly the Aspect Warriors who dedicate themselves to martial prowess, honor him as the ultimate warrior and the source of their combat skills. However, his influence is also viewed as a dangerous temptation, a path leading to unchecked savagery. The concept of Khaine represents the duality of the Eldar nature – their capacity for great artistry and refined culture, as well as their potential for brutal destruction.
