Keverhetségének

Keverhetségének is a Hungarian term that translates to "miscibility" or "ability to be mixed" in English. It refers to the property of two or more substances, typically liquids or gases, to form a homogeneous solution when combined. This means that the components become uniformly distributed throughout the mixture, and their individual identities are no longer distinguishable at a macroscopic level.

The degree of miscibility between substances is influenced by several factors, including their chemical structures, intermolecular forces, and temperature. Substances with similar polarities tend to be miscible, following the principle of "like dissolves like." For example, water, a polar solvent, is miscible with ethanol, another polar substance, but not with hexane, a nonpolar hydrocarbon. Conversely, nonpolar substances are generally miscible with each other.

When substances are not completely miscible, they may form separate layers or emulsions. The extent of mixing can range from complete miscibility to limited solubility and complete immiscibility.
